Dolemite Is My Name looks like a last attempt to kick start Eddie Murphy‘s tired career back into gear. Maybe this trailer works for you, but I’m still waiting to laugh.
The synopsis is that when Hollywood shuts him out, multi-talented Rudy Ray Moore (Murphy) strikes out on his own to make the blaxploitation film Dolemite (1975).
A lot of people seem hyped for this, but I am not one of them.
Dolemite Is My Name will be on Netflix, but no date is yet set.
