DOOM!, aka Doom 4, is due out soon and there’s now a new gameplay trailer out there.
The E3 gameplay trailer made it look great fun and there was also an engaging Playstation.Blog interview at the time, and this new trailer will make you hang on to your legs! OUCH!
Developed by Id Software and to be released by Bethesda Softworks (who need to make more review copies of games available as they’ve been in short supply of late), the game takes place on Mars, where the UAC Corporation have been discovering artificial symbols that marked Mars and brought an army of demons from Hell. D’oh!
There’s a single-player mode, plus many multiplayer modes which include traditional 4-player deathmatch, domination, freeze tag, and clan arena. It’ll also include an in-built tool titled “Doom SnapMap” which allows players to construct custom maps, and share it with the online community.
Classic weapons such as the super shotgun and BFG-9000 make a return, along with enemies from the original games such as the Revenant and Cyberdemon.
