My BRUTALLY HONEST REVIEW of ECHO VALLEY on APPLE TV+!

Echo Valley Echo Valley finds divorced Kate Garretson (Julianne MooreSirens) with fiduciary issues, needing $9000 for a new roof on her stable, and having to ask ex-husband Richard (Kyle MacLachlan, sadly in just the one scene) for the money.

Their daughter, Claire (Sydney SweeneyImmaculate) is a junkie who’s thrown away her ex’s Ryan’s (Edmund DonovanCivil War) stuff, unfortunately, which also contained half a kilo of cocaine, belonging to dealer Jackie (Domhnall GleesonFountain Of Youth), who’s now far from happy.

Suffice to say, the two women have a tempstuous relationship, but one night, Claire turns up, shaking and saying she needs help, and there’s someone else’s blood on her clothes…

I won’t say anything that’s not shown in the trailer – and even then, I’ll avoid the majority of what’s in it, and I’m glad I didn’t see that until AFTER the film, but for the next bit that references it, I’ll put it behind a spoiler section anyway, so it’s up to you whether or not you read it.

Additionally, there’s a brief moment where ever-welcome Fiona Shaw turns up for the evening, as Kate’s friend, Leslie, but overall, Echo Valley is like a 50-min drama dragged out twice as long as it should, with such a basic plot that you’ve seen this story countless times before, and this film bends credibility so hard, and then later, it completely snaps!

Echo Valley is on Apple TV+ from Friday. It’s not yet available to pre-order on Blu-ray or DVD. However, once announced, it will appear on the New DVD Blu-ray 3D and 4K releases UK list.
