Face The Raven is the tenth episode in Doctor Who Series 9, and while this is not part of a two-parter, it does connect with an earlier one because it brings back (too soon, in my opinion) Maisie Williams as Ashildr.
As before, the BBC seem less interested about putting videos online as there’s less of them. Again, there’s no teaser for the epsode from Steven Moffat, and there’s just one clip to accompany the trailer. This time, while I started using the ‘Next Time’ trailers because they tend to be longer, I’ve also put in the normal TV trailer because it ends differently and I’ve woken up every day to hear it echoing out of the TV so it’s rather stuck in my mind. Is this really going to be it? (you’ll know what I mean when you see the trailer) And more importantly – will this be the first decent episode of the series??
The Doctor and Clara, with their old friend Rigsy, find themselves in a magical alien world, hidden on a street in the heart of London. Sheltered within are some of the most fearsome creatures of the universe, and Ashildr! With a death sentence hanging over their heads, not all of the intruders will get out alive.
Below is the trailer, the introduction to the episode and one clip – Rigsy’s Tattoo.
Face The Raven is again directed by Justin Molotnikov (Sleep No More), but the writer this time is Sarah Dollard (a new writer to Doctor Who). Peter Capaldi and Jenna Coleman are joined by Joivan Wade, Maisie Williams, Simon Manyonda and Simon Paisley Day.
Face The Raven is broadcast tomorrow night on BBC1 at 8.10pm, and then on BBC iPlayer afterwards.
