Sleep No More is the ninth episode in Doctor Who Series 9, and we now seem to have left two-parters behind… For the time being, perhaps. Most Doctor Who series tend to end with one, if not a three-parter!
And with that, the BBC seem less interested about putting videos online as there’s less of them. This time round, there’s no teaser for the epsode from Steven Moffat, and there’s just one clip to accompany the trailer. I’ve used the ‘Next Time’ trailer, as they tend to be longer.
The premise is simple: This terrifying story is assembled from footage discovered in the wreckage of Le Verrier Space Station.
Below is the trailer, the introduction to the episode and one clip – Last message from Le Verrier Station
Sleep No More has the plus of starring The League Of Gentlemen‘s Reece Shearsmith, but the downside of being written by Mark Gatiss, responsible for some dire episodes like The Idiot’s Lantern and Robot of Sherwood, and it’s directed by Justin Molotnikov, who also takes the lead on next week’s episode, Face The Raven.
In addition to Peter Capaldi and Jenna Coleman, with Shearsmith, the episode also stars Elaine Tan, Neet Mohan, Bethany Black, Paul Courtenay Hyu and Zina Badran.
Sleep No More is broadcast tonight on BBC1 at 8.15pm, and then on BBC iPlayer afterwards.
