For You – On The Edge Series 2 Episode 2 – The DVDfever Review – Channel 4 drama

For You For You is the second episode in the second series of Channel 4’s On The Edge series.

Rev (Rudi Dharmalingham, above) and Alex (Catherine Steadman) are in love, but hey, Rev has “anxiety and depression“.

Oh come on, EVERYONE is anxious about something, and we’re all fed up along the way, but stop trying to use the get-out in life that you’re ‘depressed’. Only you can pull yourself out of that nosedive, so get the hell on with it! That’s what I did over my situation with Mark Pollard.

Alex is helping her sister prepare for her wedding, but then Rev takes his tablets and gets quite hyper around the wedding reception table, leading to him saying certain wrong things and embarrassing his girlfriend.

As it continues, we effectively spend the episode mostly with Rev as he goes increasingly off the rails, thinking he’s not going enough for Alex and her family, but it just comes across as self-indulgent, and rather predictable.

For You is broadcast on Monday March 16th on Channel 4 at 10.30pm. The series is not yet available to pre-order on Blu-ray or DVD.

After broadcast, the series will be on All 4.
