Hard Sell is a difficult film to make sense of, since I can’t work out whether it’s a basic teen drama or trying to be something rather different to that genre.
The film is centered around high school student Hardy Buchanan (Skyler Gisondo), struggling to help his suffering mother and their sick dog, who forms an unlikely friendship with beautiful runaway Bo (Katrina Bowden).
Written and directed by Sean Nalaboff, and also starring Amy Rutberg, Hannah Marks and Kristin Chenoweth, I couldn’t get a handle on it and, so, can’t recommend it at all.
Hard Sell is released in the US on May 20th, but as of yet there’s no UK date.
