Last Days in the Desert stars Ewan McGregor is Jesus, as well as the Devil, in an imagined chapter from his forty days of fasting and praying in the desert. On his way out of the wilderness, Jesus struggles with the Devil over the fate of a family in crisis, setting for himself a dramatic test.
The film is written and directed by Rodrigo García (Serena, Albert Nobbs) and also stars Ciarán Hinds, Susan Gray, Tye Sheridan and Ayelet Zurer.
Last Days in the Desert hasn’t got a UK or US release date yet, but I’m not holding my breath to see it.
