Letting Go is the second episode of On The Edge Series 4.
Budding boxing fan Faith (Luna Mwezi) has been with a foster family, Gabe (Anthony Welsh – Bob Marley: One Love) and Bella (Clare-Hope Ashitey – Children Of Men), for some time and clearly wants to stay there, but it appears she might have to go back to her birth mother, Valerie, because she’s better.
Gabe would prefer him to remain with them, yet Bella thinks she should return, but after she heads back, her further trips to train at the gym see her kicking off. Is everything alright at her original home?
That’s what our lead – still haunted by the death of his father – wants to get to the bottom of, but as a drama, this feels very soap opera-like in terms of plotting, and the likes of Doctors has done this better, with the likes of Rob Hollins fostering Liv, and the children he fostered with his wife, Karen, before she passed away.
Letting Go had occasional good moments of tension in the drama, but overall, it’s nothing we haven’t really seen before.
Letting Go is part of On The Edge Series 4. The series is not yet available to pre-order on Blu-ray or DVD.
The series is available to watch on All 4.
Oddly, like with Series 3, there’s no trailer online, so I’ve given the Series 2 trailer below. Plus, Channel 4 haven’t even given any sort of a heads-up for Series 4 at all! The amount of junk they plug on ads for All4 over and over, but not this!
