Lioness Season 3 sees Joe (Zoe Saldana – Avatar: Fire And Ash) having yet another bad day, and like Terminator 2, this time it’s personal..
I won’t say how exactly, to avoid spoilers, but it stands to reason that if you spend your career, flying around the world and capping bad guys, you’re going to attract unnecessary attention to yourself.
Essentially, this is more of the same, but it is great entertainment, as we see Joe and her team going in to do an op, capturing a baddie – although with the lingo, I couldn’t work out what exactly they were doing, initially, until the specifics become clear, but when there’s oodles of tiny drones exactly huge strikes on some baddies, their SOCOM-style actions and the trenches make it all feel like an update Call Of Duty game during World War I.
Initlally, only two of the 8 episodes for Season 3 are available, but as before, I’ll update this review as the series goes on and there’s more to add, although you know the drill by this point, and if you’re watching Lioness Season 3, it’s because you also saw both Lioness Season 1, and Lioness Season 2.
Of course in reality, a mother of two in her late 40s wouldn’t be doing this sort of job, and 89-year-old Morgan Freeman‘s character would’ve long since retired, but hey ho, this is TV.
Similarly, when they go in and sweep a house, killing any baddies, why don’t they ever wear any protective headgear?
Still, Nicole Kidman tries to keep a cool head in a trying situation, by maintaining a poker face… but she can do that easily, because of her crazy botox.
