Ma looks to be a rather ridiculous forthcoming psychological horror-thriller from Blumhouse, who made us suffer 2017’s Get Out (yes, it was terrible. If you thought otherwise, you’re wrong)
At first, I thought this was going to turn into a daft comedy as the titular Ma (Octavia Spencer) started off by agreeing to buy some beer for a group of teenagers, but then she let hem them party at her house, and while they thought things couldn’t get any better, suddenly, they’re all running for their lives.
So, as you might guess, I’m not particularly sold on this and, in fact, the trailer pretty much lays out the entire movie for you. However, that thumbnail on the video with her ‘stretched’ face IS quite scary…
Ma is released in the UK on May 31st.
Director: Tate Taylor
Also stars: Missi Pyle, Luke Evans, Juliette Lewis, Allison Janney, McKaley Miller, Diana Silvers
