48 Morcheeba – World Looking In * !!!One of the UK’s most underrated bands, this single has featured heavilyin a car commercial, but I haven’t heard it much on the radio which mayaccount for the fact that not many people know it’s out.

18 R Kelly – Storm is Over NowAnother ballad if my memory serves me well. Give it up, R!

13 LeAnn Rimes – I Need You :O ===Drippy, syrupy love track. Avoid

5 Stereophonics – Mr Writer *Slow and methodical, this track has had plenty of airplay over the pastfew weeks. Haven’t a clue what their on about though.

1 Hear’Say – Pure and Simple *2nd Week at No.1*

It was obvious they’d make it after the midweek sales figures were announced,showing them creaming ahead of Westloife, and now the docusoap stars of thehighly entertaining “Popstars” series have reached the charts.

If they hadn’t been No.1 it would’ve been disaster, going by the way therigged charts work these days as some bands sell their single at a cheaperprice in the first week and all of them aim to schedule their best shots atthe top in a week when there’s little or no chance of competition.

Congrats to the gorgeous Suzanne and Myleene, the frumpy Kym and the lads,Noel and Danny, but will success still be calling in a year’s time? Only timewill tell.

13. And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead – Mistakes and RegretsI know nothing about this band, nor had I heard this track when it firstcame out and made a miserly No.69 last November.

However, all that changed when it started to get airplay a bit later onon MTV2 (Sky channel 446) and I learned of the slow, brooding beginning whichbroke out into harsh rock halfway through and just gets better and better asit progresses.
