Burger Time Burger Time and Karate Champ are now available as 6″ machines from Data East, and like the previous similar machines, they’re the NES ROMs rather than the original arcade games, but are they still any good?

My Arcade is a new series of officially-licenced Namco table-top arcade machines and portable handhelds which are being released in Europe.

These machines will feature real, working arcade sticks and action buttons, long-lasting battery operation and authentic arcade marque artwork, making the range a must for any and all arcade and gadget fans.

First up are the Micro Player arcades (below), with fantastic titles such as Pac-Man, Galaga and the wonderful Dig Dug, all of which are enduring classics that are sure to appeal to gamers of all ages. These will include artwork inspired by the original cabinets, large full-colored screens, backlit coin traps, plus a removable joystick for those who prefer to use a D-pad to play.

Want something a bit smaller? Then check out the Pac-Man Pocket Player (above), a 16-bit handheld console featuring a compact, portable and ergonomic design, and which boasts a full colour screen. There are three classic titles: the original Pac-Man, Pac-Panic and Pac-Mania.



Also coming towards the end of 2018 is the Namco Museum Mini Player, which is packed with 20 classic titles and features a large vertical-oriented screen for authentic arcade gameplay, along with dual front facing speakers for optimal sound, a detachable joystick, and back-lit marquee and coin trap. All titles included on the device are the original arcade versions of the games, unless no original arcade version is available.

The licensed Micro Player Arcades and Pocket Player are shipping now from Amazon and other leading game retailers. The NAMCO Museum Mini Player is expected to begin shipping towards the end of 2018. (see above)
