Lark Rise to Candleford Series 4
Continuing the heart-warming BBC adaptation of Flora Thompsons memoir of life in late 19th century rural Oxfordshire.
The charming series set in a small hamlet and its neighbouring town sees the return of favourite characters including Dorcas, Laura, Daniel, the Pratt sisters, Alf, Minnie and a fond welcome home for Alfs mother, Caroline.
Candleford has a new arrival in Gabriel Cochrane, the handsome and once wealthy owner of a large iron foundry now bitter, penniless and homeless. Moved by his plight, Dorca offers him a job as a blacksmith and a room above the forge.
Meanwhile, a distraught Ruby returns home to Pearl Pratt to find Daniel settled in all too comfortably; Emma finds herself in dire financial straits and in a complete predicament; a poetry competition sends everyone into a frenzy of excitement and Twister gets in trouble again when Queenie wins a pig at the local fair.
Just as Dorcas resolves to stop meddling in others affairs, she realises Gabriels plans will ruin him and his reputation. Her help might just keep him in town something that seems increasingly important to her
Lark Rise to Candleford Series 4 is released on DVD (£11.99) andComplete DVD Boxset (£52.49).
The Saw series continues with this seventh entry, spearheaded by returning Saw VI director Kevin Greutert. Marcus Dunstan and Patrick Melton also are back to pen the script, which details the exploits of serial killer Jigsaw’s surviving victims, who seek counselling from a self-help mentor (Sean Patrick Flanery) whose past as a previous victim figures directly into each one’s fate.
Cary Elwes returns to the franchise for the first time since his character survived Jigsaw’s first cinematic outing in 2004.
The Complete DVD Boxset brings seven films in the horrifying SAW series which centre on sick, twisted Jigsaw (Tobin Bell), a damaged man at odds with humanity: a man who’s made it his lifes mission to lay traps for unsuspecting sinners and in doing so, sets the ball in motion for a series of terrifying games in which the ultimate prize is your life!

Madagascar (David Attenborough)
Lying just off the coast of Africa, Madagascar is a land of misty mountains, tropical rainforests and spiny desert scrub and home to strange wildlife, most of which is found nowhere else on earth.Madagascar explores this extraordinary wildlife and the dramatic landscapes of one of the world’s most bizarre islands.
Using the latest in filming technology, the BBC’s Natural History Unit captures the diverse and rare wildlife that inhabits this incredible land, some filmed for the first time, and features surprising stories of the favourite and enduring symbol of the island, lemurs, as well as less familiar creatures. There are frogs that turn from brown to bright yellow; wasps that pluck tadpoles from tree-nests; fish that swim upside down and the romantic life of the world’s tiniest chameleon.
Narrated by David Attenborough, Madagascar is the BBC’s ambitious and intimate portrait of a fascinating but perilously fragile island.
Madagascar (David Attenborough) is released on Blu-ray (£14.93) andDVD (£9.93).
