Pacific Rim: Uprising is the sequel to a film I’ve still not yet seen – 2013’s Pacific Rim. Why? Mechrobots fighting other Mechrobots – I find games like that are a big turn-off. The only human onscreen in this teaser is Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens‘ John Boyega (right)
However, none of Guillermo del Toro‘s vision is present in what’s showing of this movie so far, with a teaser that looks as terrible as 2014’s Robocop reboot was of the original.
Never mind the Jaeger Uprising, perhaps they should make a film about Jager instead!
Pacific Rim: Uprising is released in the UK on February 23rd, 2018, so no doubt going for the early half-term market.
