Now, thanks to Acorn Media, Pam Ayres – Word Perfect offers us a new opportunity to enjoy an intimate evening of laughter and poetry, as Ayres entertains us with her truly original style of verse and humour.
Originally performed at the Theatre Royal, Windsor, Pam Ayres – Word Perfect is to receive a much deserved and not to be missed DVD release on 5 September 2011 and coincides with the release of her new book The Necessary Aptitude: A Memoir.
Ayres has been a writer, broadcaster and entertainer for almost four decades, making her first TV appearance in 1975 on the TV talent show Opportunity Knock, the Britain’s Got Talent of its day, which proved to be the start of an incredible career for a unique entertainer. Her books, albums, CDs and DVDs have sold in millions, and her latest solo theatre show illustrates why she is one of the UK’s most popular live performers, selling out theatres wherever she performs.
This new recording is a mix of brand new poems and monologues and some classic pieces never previously available on DVD.
