Potential Breakup Song – Explicit Version is the new version is a 2007 track by female due Aly & AJ (above), and led their third album, Insomniatic. It’s still a great tune today, and has had a resurgence thanks to Tiktok, where it garnered 26 million views in November 2020 alone, upon its release on the platform.
At the time of its release, it sold over a million copies, but the kids now listen to TikTok, rather than anything else, so the internet is where it is.
This “Explicit Version” just adds in mild swears and an f-word or three, so it’s hardly a Quentin Tarantino-style reworking, but it’s worth a listen. I prefer the arrangement of the original song, though.
