Follow the adventures of the Stargate crew as they embark on their FINAL voyage to the lost city of Atlantis, in the hugely popular Stargate SG-1 spin off, Stargate Atlantis Season 5. This award-winning sci-fi adventure, full of gut-wrenching action, explodes onto DVD with the release of Volume 1 on 11 May 2009.
Released by MGM and Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment, Volume 2 is subsequently released on 25 May, Volume 3 on 8 June, Volume 4 on 22 June and the much anticipated finale, Volume 5 on 6 July.
Stargate Atlantis Season 5 follows Richard Woolsey (Robert Picardo) as he commands the Atlantis team formerly led by Lt Col. John Sheppard (Joe Flanigan). Joined by Dr. Rodney McKay (David Hewlett), Teyla Emmagan (Rachel Luttrell), Ronon Dex (Jason Momoa) and Dr. Jennifer Keller (Jewel Staite), follow the Atlantis team on their final expedition to the mysterious and mystifying Pegasus galaxy where they face their fierce and formidable enemy, the Wraith.
Created by Brad Wright and Robert C. Cooper, this sci-fi adventure is full of surprises, action and spectacular visual effects. Special features include exclusive deleted scene, audio commentaries and behind-the-scenes featurettes. Guest starring some of Stargate’s all-time favourite cast members including Col. Samantha Carter (Amanda Tapping), Dr Daniel Jackson (Michael Shanks) and Dr. Carson Beckett (Paul McGillion), watch the Atlantis team adjust to Woolsey’s unique leadership as they venture into the unknown for one last time.
