The Babylon A.D. extended DVD and Blu-ray both include a pulse-pounding extended main feature with even more blasts for your buck, plus a stack of exclusive extras, including filmmaking featurettes, a prequel to Babylon, galleries and much more. Both releases also include a digital copy of the film allowing you to transfer the entire movie onto a portable device such as your iPod or laptop.
Directed by Mathieu Kassovitz (Gothika, Assassins) and starring Vin Diesel as Hugo Cornelius, a mercenary, Melanie Thierry as a genetically altered woman called Aurora and Michelle Yeaoh (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, Sunshine) as Sister Rebecca, Babylon A.D features a fast-paced, futuristic storyline thats guaranteed to get your adrenalin pumping.
Set in the post-apocalyptic future, Toorop (Vin Diesel) is a mercenary hired to deliver a package from the ravages of post-apocalyptic Eastern Europe to a destination in the teeming megalopolis of New York City. The secret package is a mysterious young woman carrying an organism with potential to become the next Messiah and everybody wants to get their hands on it.
The movie, which is based on the critically acclaimed French novel Babylon Babies by Maurice G. Dantec, will leave you gripping the side of your sofa as the action unfolds on screen and is a must-have addition to any sci-fi/action DVD collection.
