Visionary director Ron Fricke’s breathtaking masterpiece Baraka has been restored and re-mastered using the latest technologyavailable to the filmmakers. Believed to be a first, the original negative was scanned frame by frame for 3 weeks at themaximum possible resolution of 8K rather than the standard 2K. Then the frame-by-frame restoration work began! The resultsare remarkable to witness and this incredible film can be seen as never before.
Baraka: Remastered will be available as a stunning two disc special edition DVD release and Blu-Ray release on 10 November 2008courtesy of Second Sight.

Fricke burst onto the scene as director of photography for the groundbreaking Koyaanisqatsi in 1983 and has since gone on todeliver the wonderful Chronos and the rousing Baraka, a huge success upon its DVD release.
This title is released on November 10th 2008, it runs for 92 minutes and retails for £19.99 on both formatsbut is currently on Amazon at the link above for £14.99 each.
