Legendary video game hero, Halo’s ‘Master Chief’ has become the first ever video-game character to beimmortalised in wax at Madame Tussauds, and has just been unveiled at the Las Vegas attraction at an officialceremony. The wax figure, which was created in London, will be making it’s way back across the Atlantic toreturn home and take its place in the iconic Madame Tussauds Museum on Baker Street after the release of Halo 3,giving fans a chance to get up-close and personal with the most iconic video-game character of all time.

Halo, the world’s biggest game franchise, sees its third instalment starring Master Chief released on September26th. Experts predict day one sales of Halo 3, available only on Xbox 360, will dwarf those of Hollywood movieblockbusters Harry Potter and Spiderman 3, with the title set to be the world’s biggest games launch of all time.

The Master Chief waxwork stands at an impressive 7″2″ tall, with an approximate finished weight of 275 lbs. Atotal of ten studio artists worked on the massive figure, dedicating an estimated 892 man-hours for thefinalistation of the stoic soldier. Total man-hours included 687 hours for sculpting, 168 hours for moulding and37 hours for painting. Materials included over 1000 pounds of clay.
