IT’S SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST

“Breathtaking and uncompromising” – Zoo

Momentum Pictures high kicks its way into February with the action packed DVD release of FIGHTER.

Featuring brutal fight sequences, with no CGI trickery, the world’s best stunt wire specialists from across the globe come together in this jaw-dropping action drama. The breathtaking fight choreography comes from the vision of Xian Gao, behind the inspired CROUCHING TIGER, HIDDEN DRAGON. FIGHTER is a film about following one’s dreams…whatever the cost.

Essential viewing for anyone who has pursued a passion and overcome adversity; FIGHTER shows that with determination and passion anything is possible.

Incredibly, lead actor Semura Turan was plucked from obscurity when she was discovered in a down town fight club. Danish director Natasha Arthy persuaded Turan to head up the cast of fight experts.

Entrenched in the urban decay of daily inner city life, a hoard of disenfranchised young teenagers seek solace and direction from expert Kung Fu master, Shi Fu (Xian Gao, CROUCHING TIGER, HIDDEN DRAGON). Under his masterful tutorship, the gang learn elite fighting moves and a new code to live their lives

High school student Aicha (Semra Turan) is passionate about Kung-fu; living and breathing the ancient art form. Though Aicha’s Turkish parents are less than impressed with her martial arts way of life. Older brother Ali (Nima Nabipour) has just got into medical school and Aicha is expected to follow suit. But defying her family’s wishes, she starts secretly training at a professional, co-ed kung fu club. Emotions run high when she meets Emil (Cyron Bjorn Melville), a street-savvy and handsome kung-fu expert who begins training her for the club championship tournament. But the course of love and life does never run smooth and soon Aicha must decide who she is and what matters.

The DVD is out on February 2nd 2009, it runs for 97 mins and retails for £15.99 on DVD,but is currently on Amazon at the link above for £11.98.
