THE PINK PANTHER CLAWS ITS WAY ONTO BLU-RAY & DVD ON 9 FEBRUARY 2009
Express the power of pink as the legendary high-class cat makes his first Blu-ray appearance with The Pink Panther (1963) Blu-ray Special Edition on 9 February from MGM & Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment. As Steve Martin reprises his role as Inspector Clouseau with the cinema release of The Pink Panther 2, now is the purr-fect opportunity to re-discover the original classic film that a generation of people grew up with and loved.
The Pink Panther (1963) stars Peter Sellers and tells the hilarious adventures of bumbling Inspector Jacques Clouseau and his attempts to locate the Pink Panther diamond. Written and directed by Blake Edwards, the films memorable theme music was composed by Henry Mancini. The Blu-ray release contains a host of fantastic brand-new special features, including a directors commentary, a 30 minute featurette about the Pink Panther story, and a conversation with former jewel thief Bill Mason.

The Pink Panther (1963) introduced the cartoon character of the same name in the opening credits sequence. Its popularity spawned a series of animated short films starring the mischievous and iconic pink-inked feline the movie industrys hippest cartoon star! Released on DVD for the first time on 9 February is The New Pink Panther Show Season 1 (RRP. £29.99) a superb four disc set containing 40 episodes of the classic cartoon show. Also released on the same date is The Pink Panther and Friends Triple Pack (RRP: £24.99), which contains 51 hilarious seven minute episodes, including The Inspector V1, The Inspector V2 and The Ant and the Aardvark.
