Get ready for The Marc Pease Experience, a hilarious all-singing, all-dancing comedy about a man who has failed to put his high school years behind him, and is desperate for the chance to bring his a cappella group to fame. Featuring an all-star cast including Jason Schwartzman and the recently Oscar®-nominated Anna Kendrick, The Marc Pease Experience comes to DVD on 5 July 2010 from E1 Entertainment.
Eight years out of high school, Marc Pease (Schwartzman; The Darjeeling Limited, Fantastic Mr. Fox) is a man still living in the past, haunted by the memory of succumbing to stage fright during his performance as the Tin Man while at high school. Now dating Meg Brickman (Kendrick; Twilight, Up in the Air), a high school senior who is bitter about always being stuck in the chorus, he holds down a throwaway job as a limo driver while dreaming of singing success. Marc is determined for his former teacher and mentor Mr. Gribble to produce the demo tape for his a cappella singing group Meridian 8, which is sure to be their ticket to stardom a responsibility that Gribble is keen to avoid.
However, after Marc discovers that Mr. Gribble is in the midst of a secret romance with Meg, chaos erupts against the backdrop of the opening night of the schools production of The Wiz. Through a cathartic and hilarious process, Marc finally exorcises his demons and realises theres life after the high school musical.
The second film from director and actor Todd Louiso (High Fidelity, Jerry Maguire), The Marc Pease Experience is original, quirky and funny so hold onto your dreams with this perfect laugh-out-loud comedy for an entertaining night in, available from 5 July 2010.
The DVD is released on July 5th, it runs for 80 mins and is available on Amazon for £9.69 (RRP £12.99).
