Materialising soon – a School with Real Spirit

Too ghoul for school? Then Scare School is the place to be!

Term starts on 12 October 2009 when Casper the Friendly Ghost returns in CASPER’S SCARE SCHOOL on DVD from Momentum Pictures. This time he is trying to be a little less friendly and a little more scary, but after all he is still the world’s friendliest ever ghost. Much loved since his first apparition in 1995, Casper the Friendly Ghost is back for another phantasmal caper, and just in time for Halloween. In fact, you couldn’t ask for a more perfect title for your own little ghouls and goblins!

In CASPER’S SCARE SCHOOL, Casper has a new assignment: get in touch with his spooky side and start scaring “fleshies” – or else! It’s a tough challenge for the friendliest ghost in the world (or out of it) but back to school he must go. Kibosh, the King of the Underworld wants him to learn how to shock people properly.

When he goes to Scare School to learn his supernatural craft, he uncovers a plot by Alder and Dash, the cruel, two-headed headmaster, to use a petrifying potion to turn Kibosh into stone and take over the world. With only himself and his misfit pals – Ra, a mummy with “unravelling issues” and Mantha, a zombie girl who can’t keep her arms and legs on – the odds are stacked against him … But what Alder and Dash don’t realize is that the power of friendliness is greater than any evil plot and when friends work together nothing can stop them.

Beautiful, spooky computer animation along with great voices from the likes of James Belushi, Bob Saget and Devon Werkheiser bring these wonderful, other-worldly characters to “life”. So join Casper and his friends on this fun quest to save the world from evil, and have some jitters, collywobbles and heebie-jeebies along the way!

CASPER (Devon Werkheiser – Ned Bigby in Nickelodeon’s Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide):Casper is a friendly, helpful, loyal friend who always tries his best. There’s just one teeny problem: Casper is a ghost. And unless he learns to scare pretty soon, he’ll be kicked out of Scare School. With the help of his best friends, Mantha and Ra, can Casper become a ghoulish ghost? Or is he destined to be a spookless spirit?

ALDER and DASH (James Belushi – Hoodwinked, Underdog and Bob Saget – Madagascar, Dumb & Dumberer):Alder and Dash have just one rule: Be grim! Be ghoulish! Or be expelled! They’re double-headed and double trouble and are always plotting ways of getting one over on the students. They have however got a softer side, especially when it comes to their pink, fluffy pet rabbit.

RA (Kendre Berry – Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide, Six Feet Under):Ra is a mummy with attitude – a cool dude who loves his sports – only trouble is he can sometimes get a bit tangled up in his bandages. He might be pretty far away from his pyramid, but he feels right at home at the Scare School.

MANTHA (Christy Carlson Romano – Kim Possible):Mantha is a super smart zombie who’s slow-moving but quick-thinking. Unfortunately for her, the rest of her limbs are pretty clever as well, and are always running off without her. You can often find one of her arms in the tentacle stew at lunch! Luckily Casper and Ra are always there to help her out of any sticky situations.

THATCH (Matthew Underwood – Zoey 101):He’s the sneaky school bully and probably the scariest of all the pupils. Thatch can be a bossy little vampire at times, but with Casper’s help, he often sees the errors of his ways … well, for about two minutes anyway, and then he’s off causing trouble again.

DR THIRDDEGREE BURNS (Maurice LaMarche – The Simpsons):Dr Thirddegree Burns is Casper’s fire-breathing science teacher and a bit of a know-it-all. He’s a dragon who thinks he knows all about humans, but he’s usually just making things up and doesn’t like it when Casper corrects him.

The DVD is released on October 12th, it runs for 75 mins is available on Amazon on DVD for £8.98 (RRP £12.99).
