CITY LIGHTS:
This 1931 silent comedy drama from Charles Chaplin sees The Tramp fall in love with a beautiful, blind flowergirl, whose family is in financial trouble. When he learns that an operation may restore the girls sight, hesets off to earn the money she needs to have surgery. The Tramp’s friendship with a wealthy man allows him to bethe girl’s benefactor and suitor but will she love him even when she discovers that he is not a wealthy duke,but a tramp? This dual-format release features the film newly restored in High Definition.

THE CHAPLIN REVUE:
Three classic silent comedies from Charles Chaplin – A Dog’s Life (1918), Shoulder Arms (1918) and ThePilgrim (1923) are here strung together to form a single feature length film with new music, narration and connectingmaterial. In A Dog’s Life, The Tramp and his dog companion try to survive in the city. Shoulder Arms featuresChaplin as a boot camp private who has a dream of being a hero, and in The Pilgrim, he becomes the newminister for the town of Devil’s Gulch by mistake.
This 2-disc DVD edition features a restored version of the film along with a host of extras including the full length original versions of the three shorts. Full contents as follows:
