This month, what could be more diverse than 80’s comedy favourite Adventuresin Baby-Sitting and 70’s sci-fi epic The Black Hole?

Adventures In Babysitting , Chris Columbus’ (Harry Potter and The Sorcerer’sStone, Mrs. Doubtfire) directorial debut, is one of the definitive teen moviesfrom the 80’s. Available for the first time on DVD, Adventures In Babysittingstars, Elisabeth Shue (Leaving Las Vegas, The Karate Kid) as Chris, ababy-sitter who is entrusted with a small girl and two teenage boys only a fewyears younger than she is.
Whilst on the job, Chris gets a call from her best friend, who has decided torun away from home but has only reached the central bus station before losingher nerve. Now Chris’ friend is desperate – broke, stranded and in big trouble -she pleads with Chris to rescue her. Chris packs her three charges into thecar and drives into Chicago to find her friend. On the way, she gets a flatand everything begins to go wrong, leading to a whole series of perilous,madcap misadventures.
Shue shines in this hilarious, teenage comedy classic. The warmth, energy andmusic of the film are all unforgettable – Shue’s performance of “And Then HeKissed Me” in the opening credit sequence is particularly outstanding.Adventures In Babysitting is a fun family film that will have you cheering,laughing, booing and singing.

The Black Hole
Available to own on DVD for the first time ever, The Black Hole is a sci-fithriller starring a top notch cast including Robert Forster (Jackie Brown)as Captain Dan Holland and Anthony Perkins (Psycho) as Dr Alex Durant.The pair chillingly portray crew members navigating the spaceship Palamino ona mission to discover a habitable planet.

Danger now lurks in every corner and the nearby life-threateninggravitational force of the black hole is sucking them ever closer to the DrReinhardt’s wild plan.
