Nintendo, the world’s leading video games company, will be taking to the streetswith enormous Clear Cubes brimming with all kinds of entertainment in London,Birmingham and Glasgow as the Nintendo GameCube takes over the UK. At seven feetcubed, the clear casings will draw audiences for 24 hours continuously fromFriday 26th April to Thursday 2nd May. Taking place outside Nintendo GameCube’sofficial retail partner HMV, the enormous Clear Cubes will make a hero of theconsole’s unique cubist design and will stage a fixture of diverse andunparalleled entertainment and live performances that will capture the eyesand imagination of passers by of all ages.

Onlookers on Saturday and Sunday will be the first to see Asher D’s new video,which will be projected inside Nintendo’s purple smoke-filled cube. Asher D isa member of the UK garage south London-based, So Solid Crew and has injectedUK music with a vibrance that hasn’t been seen in years. Marrying thunderous,often dark two-step beats with hip hop, R‚n‚B and drum and bass sensibilities,their debut LP has already been hailed as one of the most important, visionaryalbums of the past ten years, showcasing the incredible talent of thisthirty-strong collective.

But this is only the beginning. Under the watchful eye of unofficial groupleader, Mega Man, they’ve been hatching plans to swarm the musical landscapeboth as a collective and as individuals. Now it’s the turn of nineteen yearold Asher D, one of the So Solid Crew’s hottest MCs, to step to the microphoneand stake his claim with his double-A sided debut single ‘Back In The Day / WhyMe” Produced by all the in-house So Solid maestros (Swiss, Morgan, AC Burrell,Dan The Man, Timeless, PDS), Asher’s debut takes the crew’s sound to new plains.
