Prison Break was one of the greatest pieces of nonsense ever to grace the airwaves from 2005 to 2009, but (and bear in mind, the trailer below has what could be classed as a spoiler, and I shall discuss that here, too), where could it go when Michael (Wentworth Miller) died at the end?
Well, Sarah died too, separated from her head, no less, and she came back. Michael was merely electrocuted, but why let a little issue like that get in the way? Fox tried a spin-off with Jodi Lyn O’Keefe‘s character, Gretchen Morgan, in an all-female prison, but it never went beyond the pilot.
In this new series, Lincoln (Dominic Purcell) and Sara (Sarah Wayne Callies) team up after they discover Michael is still alive in a Yemen prison. And plan a big escape with the help of their friends. Madness, eh? It all begins again…
Prison Break returns in Spring 2017 and the ‘event series’ follows on from this year’s same thing for The X-Files, which ran for 6 episodes. The number for this one has yet to be confirmed, but Fox might not gamble too many on it. Who can tell…
