“A brilliant night’s viewing” – Radio Times
“The most innovative and entertaining cop show on TV” – Time Out
“Very slickly done. A Treat” – Sunday Telegraph

A stylish and gritty multi-angled drama about crime in Los Angeles, the highlyacclaimed Boomtown is unlike any other cop show on TV. Intelligent andsophisticated, the series uses fast paced Pulp Fiction style narrative touncover crime stories from the viewpoint of everyone involved. Starring DonnieWahlberg in a role that’s far removed from his days as aNew Kid On The Block, together with his Band Of Brothers co-starNeal McDonough, the first series is currently being re-shown on Five TVand the second series is due to air in January 2004.

Now the show’s huge following of loyal fans will be delighted to know thatall 18 episodes of the first series will be released in a video and DVD boxset on 20th October 2003 by Warner Vision.

From Emmy nominated executive producer/writer Graham Yost (Speed, Band Of Brothers),Boomtown has been favourably compared by critics as a cross between CSI and24, and with ratings matching Six Feet Under and topping The Sopranos, thesuccess of the first series speaks for itself.

Telling the street level story of the City Of Angels with a unique twist, crimes are seen from the diverse perspectives of the city’s unsung and lessthan perfect heroes – the cops, paramedics, reporters, members of the D.A’soffice and city officials whose stories overlap and intertwine, creating theexperience that is Boomtown.

Seen from the individual view of the characters involved, all of whom havedifferent sensibilities and agendas, series creator Graham Yost explains,“Sometimes the best way to tell the whole story about something is not totry to tell the whole story, but to tell all the little stories and let theviewers put it together themselves”
