THE VEGA BROTHERSQuentin Tarantino’s oft-rumoured 80’s-set movie that tied togetherReservoir Dogs’ Vic Vega (Mr Blonde) and Pulp Fiction’s Vincent Vegalooks more likely.

A casting director recently spilled the beans to a young actorauditioning for a role, which Tarantino hopes to film next year. Thecasting director also mentioned Samuel L. Jackson’s name as a star.

BEWITCHEDJim Carrey appeared on the Howard Stern Show recently and mentioned hetalked to Nicole Kidman about co-starring with her in the adaptation ofTV series Bewitched, as Darrin Stephens.

The classic sitcom followed the exploits of Samantha [Kidman], a witchwho marries a mortal. He discovers her witchcraft only after they’rewed, and she earnestly tries to abandon her powers for the sake of hermortal husband, Darren, but temptation constantly gets in the way.

CAT’S CRADLEWriter-director Richard Kelly (Donnie Darko) is set to team up withwriter-director Darren Aronofsky (Requiem For A Dream) on a projectcalled Cat’s Cradle.

HARRY POTTER & THE PRISONER OF AZKABANThe first image of Michael Gambon as Professor Dumbledore has beenrevealed (right). Gambon replaces the late Richard Harris in the role. CONSTANTINEMTV spoke with Keanu Reeves about his career post-Matrix. Reevesconfirmed he is to star as John Constantine in a movie based on thecomic-book Hellblazer series. The comic concerns an Englishman who is afairly reprehensible working class cheat, but heavily involved in occultinvestigations that require him to save the world.

Keanu Reeves revealed his passion for the character: “[It’s] his anger. He’sangry, but he’s got a good heart.”

Reeves said he hopes to start filming Constantine in September for musicvideo director Francis Lawrence.

KING KONGHoward Shore (Lord Of The Rings) will score the music to Peter Jackson’sKing Kong remake, due in a few years time. ROMANCING THE STONE 3Michael Douglas is looking to get a third sequel to Robert Zemeckis’Romancing The Stone made. The first sequel was entitled The Jewel Of TheNile.

KILL BILLThe BBC interviewed Kung Fu star David Carradine in Cannes about hispart in Tarantino’s upcoming Kill Bill, as the titular Bill.

“We wrote a little bit of it, I say just a little bit because Quentin isthe author. We’d smoke a cigar in the evening and talk and talk and talkand a week later there’s a rewrite and it has that conversation in it. Italk endlessly. Basically I’m doing the Samuel L Jackson part in thismovie. I’m just talking my head off, in between killing people”.

“I can’t tell you too much about it, but there’s a long sequence betweenUma and me that is like a love scene, except at the end of it we have afight. That’s probably the sweetest moment”.

SUPERMANSuperman screenwriter J.J. Abrams has stated that he hasn’t beenbothered by any negative internet feedback on his first draft script,and has actually received positive feedback for his latest draft.

He also stated he expect a new director to be attached within weeks, andthat his decision to write a Superman movie was because of his disdainfor recent blockbuster movies.

J.J. Abrams: “I’m not saying I could have done a better job, just that Icould have done a better job for myself. I’ve been left unfulfilled by afew of the big movies lately, so I decided it was time for me to stopcomplaining about them and actually do something about it.”

THE WOODSM. Night Shyamalan’s next spookfest will be The Woods. The Sixth Sensecreator’s new project is set in 1897 and concerns a village where thelocal woods are inhabited by mythical creatures.

The film will star Ashton Kutcher (Just Married), Joaquin Phoenix(Signs) and Kirsten Dunst (Spider-Man), to be released mid-2004.
