AMBULANCE CHASERSDirector Jay Chandrasekhar (The Dukes Of Hazzard) is set to direct AmbulanceChasers for ‘Warner Brothers’, with his Broken Lizard comedy troupe whopreviously worked together on Super Troopers and Club Dread. The movie isabout two personal-injury lawyers who fight over new clients (those beingtransported in ambulances).
BEAN 2Steve Bendelack (The League Of Gentlemen’s Apocalypse) has been signed by’Working Title Films’ to direct Bean 2, the sequel to the 1997 RowanAtkinson (right) hit movie. Bean 2 starts shooting on 15 May and finds Mr Beantravelling to the South of France on holiday, where he causes the usualmayhem.
Bean 2 has been written by Robin Driscoll and Hamish McColl, based on astory by Simon McBurney. The original grossed $240 million worldwide,although the global success of Atkinson’s Bean TV series is a phenomenonthat has since passed. Are audiences still interested in Bean’s hinjinks?
INTO THE MIRRORDirector Alandre Aja (The Hills Have Eyes remake) has been signed by’Regency Pictures’ to film a movie entitled Into The Mirror, about asecurity guard at a department store who investigates deaths that have alloccurred in front of mirrors.
