Tonight sees Super Bowl XLVIII between the Denver Broncos and the Seattle Seahawks, and going with it are a number of TV Spot trailers for forthcoming movies, all of which are below.
These films include Noah, Draft Day, 3 Days to Kill, The Amazing Spider Man 2, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Pompeii and The Monuments Men.
Check out these great clips below.
Noah
First up is Noah, with Russell Crowe in the titular role, Darren Aronofsky also directs Jennifer Connelly, Emma Watson, Logan Lerman, Anthony Hopkins, Kevin Durand, Marton Csokas, Frank Langella, Nick Nolte, Mark Margolis, Ray Winstone and it’s released in the UK on April 4th, a week after the US.
Draft Day
A TV spot session during the Super Bowl wouldn’t be complete without a film that’s about American Football. Ivan Reitman directs Kevin Costner, Jennifer Garner, Ellen Burstyn, Terry Crews, Sam Elliott, Frank Langella, Rosanna Arquette, Denis Leary, Kevin Dunn, and while it’s out in the US on April 11th, it hasn’t yet got a UK release date. I wouldn’t be surprised if it doesn’t and goes straight to Blu-ray & DVD because films about American Football rarely get a big audience over here.
3 Days To Kill
Kevin Costner stars as a dying Secret Service Agent trying to reconnect with his estranged daughter, who is offered an experimental drug that could save his life in exchange for one last assignment.
McG also directs Amber Heard, Hailee Steinfeld, Connie Nielsen and there’s no UK release date yet set for this, but the US will see it on February 21st.
The Amazing Spider Man 2
Marc Webb returns to direct Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Jamie Foxx, Dane DeHaan, Campbell Scott, Embeth Davidtz, Paul Giamatti, Sally Field, Martin Sheen, Chris Zylka, Denis Leary, Marton Csokas, Stan Lee and the film is released on April 18th in the UK.
Captain America: The Winter Soldier
Anthony Russo & Joe Russo direct Chris Evans, since the film’s about his character, plus Sodastream expert Scarlett Johansson, Robert Redford, Samuel L. Jackson, Hayley Atwell, Dominic Cooper, Anthony Mackie, Toby Jones, Jenny Agutter, Alan Dale, Garry Shandling and the film is released on March 28th in the UK.
Pompeii
The one with the whole town going to pot stars Kit Harington, Carrie-Anne Moss, Emily Browning, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Jessica Lucas, Jared Harris and Kiefer Sutherland
Director Paul W.S. Anderson gets a lot of stick for his action films including the Resident Evil franchise, but if he makes a great fist of 3D action and I’ll be looking forward to this. We’ve got a bit of a wait, though. The US gets is on February 21st, while we won’t see it here until May 2nd.
The Monuments Men
The greatest art heist in history is directed by George Clooney and he stars in it alongside Matt Damon, Bill Murray, Cate Blanchett, John Goodman, Jean Dujardin, Hugh Bonneville and Bob Balaban. You’ll be able to see this one sooner than the rest as it’s released in the UK on February 14th.
