The Brothers Grimsby – Official Red Band Trailer #1 – Mark Strong, Sacha Baron Cohen

the-brothers-grimsby The Brothers Grimsby is due out next year and with a lot of action going on, my first thoughts were: “OMG! This looks awesome!”

The simple premise is that a new assignment forces a top spy (played by Mark Strong) to team up with his football hooligan brother (Sacha Baron Cohen). I can take or leave Cohen, but Strong is usually worth a watch.

Directed by Louis Leterrier, written by Sacha Baron Cohen, Phil Johnston and Peter Baynham, and also starring Isla Fisher, Annabelle Wallis, Penélope Cruz, Rebel Wilson, David Harewood, Ian McShane, Scott Adkins, Gabourey Sidibe and Tamsin Egerton.

The Brothers Grimsby is released in the UK on February 26th 2016, having been brought forward a week from March 4th – possibly not to get dwarfed by London Has Fallen being moved to that date – and looks great fun.

Note that IMDB is now listing the film as simply “Grimsby”, yet I think The Brothers Grimsby works as a better title, given its obvious nod to The Brothers Grimm, and because it’s about brothers. And it’s not a documentary about the situated on the South Bank of the Humber Estuary…
