The Brothers Grimsby is due out next year. The Red Band trailer was packed with tons of action, while this new one focuses more on comedy.
The simple premise is that a new assignment forces a top spy (played by Mark Strong) to team up with his football hooligan brother (Sacha Baron Cohen). I can take or leave Cohen – even though he’s not as bad in this new trailer, but Strong is usually worth a watch.
Directed by Louis Leterrier, written by Sacha Baron Cohen, Phil Johnston and Peter Baynham, and also starring Isla Fisher, Annabelle Wallis, Penélope Cruz, Rebel Wilson, David Harewood, Ian McShane, Scott Adkins, Gabourey Sidibe and Tamsin Egerton.
The Brothers Grimsby was originally due for released on March 4th 2016, then was brought forward to February 26th, but has now been put back to March 10th. Madness!
Note that IMDB is now listing the film as simply “Grimsby”, yet I think The Brothers Grimsby works as a better title, given its obvious nod to The Brothers Grimm, and because it’s about brothers. And it’s not a documentary about the town situated on the South Bank of the Humber Estuary…
