The Chase is a gameshow I’ve got hooked on in recent months, and yesterday, the Final Chase team of Lee, Hayley and Paul had £17,000 in the prize fund. They went on to win, but one of the questions stumped both than and chaser Shaun Wallace, The Dark Destroyer, my favourite male chaser, with his pretend-miserablism schtick. I love it when he cracks a bad joke and then fakes a smile 🙂
They were asked by host Bradley Walsh, “Which German composer had Weimar and Cothen periods?” Shaun posed for a second before answering, “Wagner”.
It was wrong so they went to the teach who came up with Beethoven, which was also wrong, with the correct answer being JS Bach… and at that point, contestant Lee appears to mutter “Fuck!” under his breath. Some have since said he’s actually repeating “Bach!” in disgust.
Make up your mind below. And also show your disgust that I don’t know how to get my Vine video right as it’s out by 90 degrees. Oopsy!
