The Debt (aka Oliver’s Deal) looks to have Stephen Dorff on fire, as Oliver Campbell, the film taking place against the backdrop of an international finance deal in boh New York and Peru. The billing states it’s an intense political drama which explores how far people will go to get what they want.
Written and directed by Barney Elliott, and also starring David Strathairn (The Bourne Ultimatum), Brooke Langton, Carlos Bardem and Alberto Ammann, The Debt also goes by the name of Oliver’s Deal, and doesn’t have a UK or US release date as of yet (but it does have one in Peru!), yet I really am looking forward to this one.
However, I can’t see it getting a big screen release, sadly, but maybe it’s better suited to home viewing. Either way, do catch it when you can.
