The Little Hours is bound to get the Daily Mail clickbait journos fuming at the mouth as it takes religion and mixes it with swearing aplenty.
Dave Franco (Now You See Me 2) is the young servant, Massetto, fleeing from his master, and taking refuge at a convent full of emotionally unstable nuns in the middle ages, including Alison Brie (The LEGO Movie), Kate Micucci (The LEGO Batman Movie) and Aubrey Plaza (Dirty Grandpa, Ingrid Goes West) with the cast also including John C Reilly (Kong: Skull Island) as Father Tommasso.
Despite it looking fairly straight forward, the trailer made me laugh, so let’s hope the laughs continue for the full 90 minutes.
Writer/Director: Jeff Baena (Life After Beth)
Also stars: Molly Shannon, Fred Armisen, Jemima Kirke, Nick Offerman, Adam Pally, Paul Weitz, Paul Reiser
The Little Hours is released in the US on June 30th, but as of yet there’s no UK date.
