The Silence Of The Lambs is a film I haven’t seen in years. Wasn’t a big fan first time, but it was better on second viewing, with exceptional performances from both Anthony Hopkins and Jodie Foster.
Chances are, the quality of the TV broadcast in HD and on my TV now (even on Channel 5), is better than the UCI (I think) I first saw it at Hanley (again, I think) while at Keele Univeristy.
I was also surprised to discover that the film was re-classified as a 15-cert last September. That’s happened with others Die Hard, Die Hard 2: Die Harder, The Terminator, Terminator 2: Judgment Day, Alien and Aliens, all in their full uncut glory.
Then again, some of the violence in these films comes across as more toned down or off-screen, 25-30 years on.
