UK Top 100 Music chart summary w/e August 4th 2016

Major Lazer Feat. Justin Bieber & MØ goes straight in at No.1, in the UK Top 100 Music chart summary w/e August 4th 2016, with Cold Water, but while it’s something new at the top for a change, it’s absolute rubbish.

And that means that Drake feat. Wizkid & Kyla is deposed and drops to No.5 with One Dance, and it’s just bland, auto-tuned blandy blandness. I find it difficult to get annoyed at such a lazy track, but I’m still amazed anyone bought it.

There are no other new entries in the Top 10, nor in the entire Top 100.

New out this week is the one and only album for Viola Beach, who were sadly killed in a car crash earlier this year, and this is BBC Music’s Maida Vale session for Swings & Waterslides.
