Bringing the vibrant communities of ’70s Kingston and ’80s Hackney to thrilling cinematic life, Idris Elba’s masterful directorial debut Yardie arrives on Digital Download on 24th December and on Blu-ray and DVD on Boxing Day, 26th December.
To celebrate the release, we are giving away two prizes which comprise of a copy of the film on DVD, each accompanied by a signed poster (signed by Idris Elba, Aml Ameen and Shantol Jackson).
D (Aml Ameen, Kidulthood – above-right with Idris Elba), is growing up in 70’s Kingston when his older brother, Jerry Dread, is murdered before his eyes. Distraught, D is taken under the wing of a Kingston Don and music producer: King Fox. When Fox dispatches him to Hackney, D finds himself in direct conflict with vicious London gangster Rico (Stephen Graham, This Is England, Orthodox) and is forced to choose between “the righteous path” and retribution for his brother’s death.
With a stunning soundtrack and from the producers of ’71 and This Is England, Yardie is the fresh, compelling and remarkable directorial debut from Idris Elba.

Yardie is released on December 26th on Blu-ray, DVD, and Amazon Video on December 24th.
