Z For Zachariah is set in the wake of a disaster which wipes out most of civilization. Remainiing are two men and a young woman who find themselves in an emotionally charged love triangle as the last known survivors…
The film stars Margot Robbie (The Wolf of Wall Street), Chris Pine (Star Trek Into Darkness) and Chiwetel Ejiofor (2012). It’s directed by Craig Zobel, who made the wonderful and bizarre real life-inspired drama Compliance back in 2012, and is written for the screen by Nissar Modi, from the novel by Robert C O’Brien.
Z For Zachariah is released in the US on August 21st, but hasn’t yet got a UK date. I love ‘end of the world’-type movies, and Chiwetel Ejiofor certainly knows about those, so this is shaping up to be a great movie.
