Christmas 2017 and New Year 2018 Movies on UK TV

Christmas 2017 Christmas 2017 will soon by with us, and New Year 2018 follows just a week later, thanks to the way the concept of time works.

However, which movies are showing on UK terrestrial TV this year, and what are the premieres on Christmas Day and so on? This isn’t a definitive list, but will contain all the main ones you’ll be looking for… so not the umpteenth repeat of a black-and-white 1940s movie… unless the BBC have finally decided to start showing Laurel and Hardy again. Oh, and you can assume ITV are showing all the Harry Potter movies again, but I won’t mention them since all but the last three are cropped to 16:9.
