UK Top 100 Music chart summary & my views: w/e November 23rd 2013

Going straight in the UK Top 100 Music chart at No.1 is Martin Garrix with Animals. This has got to be the most bland ‘dance’ track I have ever heard. Why the hell is this No.1?! Is this what passes for entertainment these days?

As such, Storm Queen drops to No.6 with Look Right Through and it’s a rather bland dance track. God knows why rubbish like this gets straight to No.1.

The rest of the Top 10 isn’t much to shout about with Lily Allen‘s drippy Keane cover at No.2, that’s also being used in the John Lewis advert, Ellie Goulding‘s drippy love song at No.3, Lady Gaga‘s tedious latest effort at No.9 (where are the likes of Bad Romance, these days?) and Robbie Williams‘ Go Gentle at No.10, which seems to start off okay, but then just never goes anywhere.
