12 Monkeys was a phenomenal Terry Gilliam film released in 1995 (albeit as Twelve Monkeys), and this follows the path set by series such as Fargo where they branch out into Tv territory, this one starring Aaron Stanford as Bruce Willis’ character, James Cole, plus Amanda Schull as Dr. Cassandra Railly (compared to Madeleine Stowe’s Kathryn Railly) and Oz‘s Kirk Acevedo as Ramses.
The series follows the journey of time traveler Cole from the post-apocalyptic future who appears in present day on a mission to locate and eradicate the source of a deadly plague that will eventually decimate the human race.
12 Monkeys: The Series begins in the US on January 16th 2015, but has yet to get a UK air date.
