Getting On confirmed for Series 3 after Jo Brand wins a BAFTA!

Getting OnLast night at the BAFTA Awards (full list of winners below), Sherlock won two for Best Drama Series and Martin Freeman took the Best Supporting Actor prize. However, both Benedict Cumberbatch and Matt Smith lost out in the Best Actor category to Daniel Rigby for playing Eric Morecambe in the drama Eric and Ernie.

God knows why Eastenders won Best Soap, I mean, Best Continuing Drama. Why doesn’t Doctors ever get a mention? It’s the only decent soap on!

However, there was good news when Jo Brand won Best Female Performance in a Comedy Programme for Getting On, and this morning on Twitter, Vicki Pepperdine confirmed that the comedy/drama will be getting a third series! Here’s hoping this pushes the excellent show over to BBC2!
