Careful What You Wish For repeats the weirdo-stalker trope we’ve seen a million times before and which has been done much better.
When the Jonas Brothers used to be famous, my elder nephew was into them, as they swanned about with their purity rings. These days, Nick Jonas is making a move about a sex-crazed stalker and will go through the age-old, forgettable motions for 91 minutes that you will never get back.
Directed by Elizabeth Allen and written by Chris Frisina, those others wasting their time include Dermot Mulroney, Isabel Lucas, Graham Rogers, Kandyse McClure and Paul Sorvino.
The Jonas Brothers once sang about an ‘SOS’. That’s what this film needs. Well, that and the original tapes wiping.
Careful What You Wish For is out on June 10th in the US but as of yet there’s no UK release date. Don’t hurry.
