Daft Punk Unchained is a documentary about the funky electro group Daft Punk, a duo consisting of French musicians Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter, well known for hits like Around The World, One More Time, Harder Better Faster Stronger, and the incredible collaboration with Nile Rodgers, Get Lucky, from 2013.
as well as their work for the soundtrack to the movie Tron Legacy.
The film tells the entire career of Daft Punk, from their start in early 90’s with their first group called Darlin’, until their grammy awards in 2014. You’ll learn how they have built their music, their image and all aspects of their inspiration.
The film also features contributions from Todd Edwards, Tony Gardner, Michel Gondry, Peter Lindbergh, Leiji Matsumoto, Giorgio Moroder, Nile Rodgers, Pete Tong, Joseph Trapanese, Kanye West, Paul Williams, Pedro Winter and Pharrell Williams.
Daft Punk Unchained was released in France on June 24th but has yet to get a release date in the US or UK.
