Damsel now has a second trailer, but still no word on when it’s actually coming out. That was meant to happen in June 2018, and still nothing. I’m not in a rush, though…

Damsel is set in the Wild West, circa 1870. Samuel Alabaster (Robert Pattinson), an affluent pioneer, ventures across the American frontier to marry the love of his life, Penelope (Mia Wasikowska). As his group traverses the west, the once-simple journey grows treacherous, blurring the lines between hero, villain and damsel.
I understand both Ms Wasikowska and Mr Pattinson were meant to star in the superb Brimstone. Both dropped out from the production, but both Dakota Fanning and Guy Pearce made an incredible job of it. As for this film, it looked better the more the trailer went on, so I’ll definitely check this out.
Damsel is released in the US on June 22nd, but of yet there’s no UK date.
Writers/Directors: David Zellner, Nathan Zellner
Also stars: Robert Forster, Joseph Billingiere, Morgan Lund, Ray Kelleher
