Edge Of Tomorrow looks like it could be a reasonable action film, with Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt amongst many soldiers who dress up in mech-warrior-type machinery to blast away the enemy.
However, they frequently die, but soon after, they’ll be living again as the whole cycle goes on ‘Live, Die Repeat’, but why?
Emily Blunt looks stunning as always, but Tom Cruise doesn’t seem to quite suit this. I still haven’t seen Oblivion, but it looks like the leftovers of that mixed with Groundhog Day. However, it does have a plus with Doug Liman (Go, The Bourne Identity, Mr & Mrs Smith) at the helm. In a cast that also features Bill Paxton, Lara Pulver, Jeremy Piven, Charlotte Riley and Jonas Armstrong, Edge Of Tomorrow is out in the UK on May 30th 2014.
